Application of Lean Six Sigma (DMADV) in the social services of a cooperative

This study presents a Lean Six Sigma (LSS) application project using the DMADV (Define, Measure, Analyze, Develop, Verify) methodology to systematize the social service process at a cooperative located in Maringá, Paraná. The main objective was to systematize the social service process using the Lean Six Sigma methodology, in order to make it more agile, transparent and oriented towards the needs of employees. The research was conducted through a case study in an action research format, with the participation of a multidisciplinary team and the support of an external consultant. Among the main results obtained, the following stand out: (i) the development of a Project Charter for strategic alignment, (ii) the mapping of the process using SIPOC, (iii) the construction of a Requirements Tree and stakeholder analysis, (iv) the application of the GRIP tool and a questionnaire with employees, and (v) the development of a digital prototype for monitoring integrated with a dashboard of indicators in Power BI. The work contributes by demonstrating how Lean Six Sigma can be applied to social processes in cooperative organizations, broadening the discussion on its use beyond industrial contexts.
